While we were selling our business, Rigby Cooke Lawyers represented the landlord. The extra fees they charged were as much as they wanted and with no reason and no details even if we asked for that three times by email. Also they charged us fees for new contract between the landlord and the new owner that had nothing to do with us. Worst lawyers, Do not use them, otherwise you'll lost out.

Did not know basic planning principles, refused to follow instructions, gouged fees, refused to return money held on trust and was hyper aggressive when complaints about poor representation were raised.

August 2025

The developer they represented was 2 years late delivering a property we were purchasing but we let them hold our $58k deposit and gave them the benefit of doubt. Rigged and Crooked Lawyers then fined us $3k as our mortgage broker was late with the reapproval of our loan... given it had to reapproved 3 times with the delays... Absolutely no consideration, fined us and took our money pretty much laughing.

My family were directed to Rigby Cooke by a friend. We have found that they were very professional in dealing with a complex estate issue. Over many months (not due to Rigby Cooke) we have finally reached a position where the estate can now move forward. We would recommend Rigby Cooke as their professionalism is first class.
