  4+ years I was put through nothing short of mental hell. When I originally started my psychological WorkCover claim and engaged with Slater and Gordon they gave me no indication the hell I would be put through or that it could take 4+ years. I’m mentally and psychologically way worse off after the 4 years of hell than I was after the workplace injury took place with very little compensation. I feel I was completely miss lead and given the worse advise I’ve ever received. I was given little to no support during this horrible period. Do not go to them for Psychological WorkCover claims. You will be put through hell mentally and receive barley any compensation especially not enough for ruining 4+ years of my life and all I was put through. My friend who is also doing a psychological injury WorkCover claim with them is also experiencing the same thing. I’m now also trapped doing a TPD claim with them which they convinced me to do but after the horrible and traumatizing experience with the WorkCover claim I just want this to be over. Engaging Slater and Gordon on my behalf has been the worst decision of my life. False promises and no support. I’ll never trust Lawyers again after this horrible experience. I would leave 0 stars if I could. My lawyer was Peta. Very disappointed with my experience.

  After being Medically Discharged from the Australian Defence Force (ADF) in Oct 2015, I initially was using an Advocate to assist me with various DVA Claims. I found it very difficult, as my assigned Advocate’s Caseload was so large, it was hard to book an appointment or get a response from an email. I was chatting with a former colleague, who recommended Slater & Gordon – Military Compensation Lawyers. Transitioning to Slater & Gordon was a simple and smooth process and my case was assigned to Teegan Head and her team, some have moved on, others like Zac Frost have been assisting me for this period. Teegan’s team have assisted me with completing forms, seeing specialists and making sure I was getting the appropriate compensation. Just over a year, we commenced a Full Claims Review with DVA. I was receiving regular updates and assistance from Zac and Monique Pinero. They would review my completed forms to ensure I wasn’t under reporting my conditions and they did a full review of my ADF Medical Records and identified other possible conditions too. This month I received word from DVA, via Teegan and her team, that my claim review had been completed and not only was I going to receive some compensation, that I had been upgraded from a DVA White Card to a DVA Gold Card. I thank Teegan and her team for all their support and advice and if things get worse again, I know I just need to email the team, and we can restart the process again. I highly recommend Slater & Gordon – Military Compensation Lawyers for any veteran or current serving member, who is looking to claim any condition through DVA. They make the at times, very convoluted claims process much easier.
